Depending on assessed needs and the agreed programme, support may help with food, education, clothing, healthcare and essential household needs. Sponsorship is not adoption or guardianship. Children’s privacy and dignity must be protected; individual arrangements and updates are discussed through SDC Nepal, not by contacting children directly.

Stand alongside families facing poverty, displacement or unexpected hardship. Humanitarian assistance may include essential food, household supplies and referrals, depending on assessed needs and available resources.

Our aim is practical support delivered with dignity, with particular attention to children, single women, older people and people with disabilities. Locations, selection criteria, package contents and implementation arrangements should be confirmed for each project.

Help households develop skills and opportunities to earn with dignity. Livelihood enquiries may include sewing machines and tailoring, poultry, mobile shops, small retail activities and practical business support.

A responsible water project needs a suitable location, technical assessment, water-quality testing and clear maintenance arrangements. Scope and costs depend on the site; a new pump alone is not a guarantee of safe drinking water.

Support learning, practical skills and future opportunity for children and young people. Enquire about school materials, educational support, vocational skills and Hifz student sponsorship.

Hifz support may contribute to learning materials, teacher fees and essential educational needs through an agreed local arrangement.
